🇹🇭 King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) has “expressed concern for the public affected by heavy rains & flooding in Bangkok, its vicinity, & the Central region,” according to the Bureau of the Royal Household. His Majesty has “graciously commanded that the situation & relief efforts be closely monitored,” as all 50 districts of Thailand’s capital have been declared disaster zones. Meanwhile, the First Army Area is urgently coordinating with relevant agencies & mobilising personnel to assist those affected. The military has deployed troops, volunteers, boats, & vehicles to transport citizens — particularly patients & those requiring hospital visits. Operations include evacuating patients from affected hospitals, moving private vehicles out of flooded areas, & delivering food, drinking water, & relief kits to residents remaining in their homes. Additionally, plans are underway to establish Royal Kitchens at evacuation centres & to open communication channels for rapid assistance requests. Personnel have been instructed to prioritise safety during operations to ensure that aid reaches all affected individuals thoroughly & in a timely manner.
