He was on his way to pick up his other kids so they could meet the baby.
Rodney Bremby slammed into him from behind at 103 MPH in a 45 zone. Police said he was impaired.
Bremby pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter.
His sentence in Travis County is SIX MONTHS in jail and probation.

He pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter, and he’ll spend about six months in jail.
On May 11th, 2025, Mother’s Day, Captain Marvin Taylor III's wife gave birth to their fifth baby at an Austin hospital.
Marvin left the hospital to go pick up his other children so they could meet their new sibling.
He never made it.
At 1:05AM, he was stopped at a red light on East Koenig Lane.
According to court records, that’s when a Dodge Durango came flying down the road and rear-ended his van at 103 MPH... the speed limit was 45.
The crash sent Marvin’s van sliding 150 feet into a median.
He passed away right there at the scene.
The man who k*lled him is Rodney Bremby, he was completely drunk.
He was booked on a $103,000 bond... and he bonded out within DAYS.
In August, he pleaded guilty to Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle, a second-degree felony.
And this week, the sentence came down.
6 months in jail.
10 years of probation.
403 hours of community service.
Those 403 hours were the family’s request, it was Marvin’s badge number.
Now FIVE CHILDREN will grow up without their father, and the man who did it gets 6 month in prison.

Arresting fare jumpers is one of the best things you can do. Naive communists assert that “petty crime” shouldn’t be prosecuted because they want the breakdown of society. Without fail, the fare jumper is committing other more serious crimes every day. Because if you’re willing to violate the law over $2, imagine what else they’re willing to do. It’s not that the crime is petty, the criminal is petty. They think your laws are so meaningless, they’ll break em over a couple bucks; their honor is worth less than a cup of coffee.
Throw the book at every fare jumper in the city and watch your robberies and violent crimes drop exponentially. That guy who’s pistol whipping your grandma for her purse, or dealing fentanyl to your teenage daughter…you think he’s bothering to pay the metro fare? Of course not. This is the easiest way to filter out these scumbags, and the lowest threshold to clean up society.
If you thought the NYPD couldn’t be even more useless, it takes six cops to detain a person for fare evasion.
Then another three to slam someone against a wall for $3.

He’s talking about rape, and I want to point something out. He doesn’t say “it’s not always wrong,” or “it’s not always bad,” but “it’s not always haram.” The fact that rape violates and traumatizes the victim is meaningless in the Muslim worldview: all that matters to them is whether or not the assault is haram.
Islam permits rape — as well as forced marriage, slavery, and domestic violence — and calls it all righteous. A man can beat and rape his child bride and still be considered a good man by Muslim standards, because under Islam, girls and women are nothing more than animals who look like human beings. They are living property, to be sold and beaten and raped at the whim of their owners.
