I would avoid this. This is a product with a fragile market share that will almost certainly not last much longer. Oura will crash like Fitbit and it's ashes scooped up by Samsung or Apple.

@Publix has sunk to a bottom tier grocery store. Who would have seen that coming? Consider that Publix pricing is on par with and often more expensive than Whole Foods these days - and it's objectively foolish to pay those prices for Publix quality over Whole Foods. Their service quality is sinking significantly, almost no baggers, unfriendly employees, and prices outpacing nearly everyone. Trying to protect high margins for employee stock isn't going to resonate with customers when they aren't delivering the exceptional experience anymore. Publix is still an "ok" store, But the issue is that the competition has improved and surpassed them in nearly every way. And that's all the competition. From Walmart to Whole Foods, Aldi, Sam's, Amazon Fresh, etc. The Publix value proposition no longer exists and they are the absolute worst of the options available around here. Charging top tier specialty prices for mid tier quality and a service quality that has disappeared isn't going to work. They need new leadership ASAP. Their local footprint and convenience edge will continue to erode as competitors improve and shoppers grow increasingly comfortable with delivery services. Kind of sad to see Publix in such decline, but just the way it is.

A new Model Y Premium, not even the cheap one, and 12 years of unlimited charging runs half what you have spent on the vehicle plus fuel and maintenance. It also drives itself, is safer, and obviously far more advanced. Really, I don't understand why anyone would buy anything but a Tesla today.

Well yeah, being metabolically healthy is the point. It's not exactly genetic. Is your post basically saying if you are going to be fat and unhealthy, eat more seed oils? That's what you seem to be implying here. People aren't lacking in PUFAs these days...

It's not always about the steps. Wearables can make it easy to track your unstructured cardio activity. I find wearables very useful if you actually use the data and coaching. For example, I will do some bike cardio or more steps if I don't hit my goals with physical activity. This was from a home improvement project yesterday. No need for jogging around the block or hours on the treadmill if you can just stay active.

Other than that recent dip, interest is up significantly over the last 5 years, 400%. It's clearly getting a lot more attention. The new guidelines favor meat as well. The "red meat is bad" and meat free era is obviously winding down and shiftig. I'm not arguing in favor of endless carnivore diet, to be clear about that - and I wrote an anti-protein post that if I wanted to add more nuance, I'd argue in favor of plant proteins to some extent... I think getting complete aminos during a short window is looking more and more optimal, however.

Let's rock with Grok 4.7 Giving it a pretty solid first task today in Cursor. Curious to see how it performs. So far, so good - had excellent questions and reasoning. Understood the task, asked me question for things I hadn't even considered that were critical and made clean suggestions, too.

A year ago I decided to play with an ultra high yield fund. $ULTY specifically. No re-investments back into the fund. Take the payouts and dump into other safer index funds. As expected, ULTY was mostly worthless and it was all NAV erosion (giving you your money back). But it didn't lose money! Which I think is great, right? Down $9,661.36 but paid out $10,055.96 Obviously a worthless "investment" but it was fun. It would have been far, far better to have invested this $20k into an SP500 index and it's not even close. I'll be dumping ULTY entirely this week. Taxable footprint on this should only be a few hundred dollars, for what that's worth.

My first community note! Lets start with "GRAS" - the US famously has a low bar for food safety and this is no different. Generally recognized as safe is weak. David bars are *illegal to sell* in Europe and Australia due to the lack of proven safety data. Now let's take a look at the accuracy of the study the note cites. EPG in David protein acts as a gastrointestinal sponge that sucks up vitamins. Reduced vitamin D uptake, reduced K vitamins, etc. The abstract then finishes off saying it seems "reasonably well tolerated" Yes, I really need to "reasonable tolerate" a protein bar with experimental ingredients that is actively removing key vitamins from my system as it transits my gut... As if there aren't significantly better, safer options.

Just got dinged for texting and driving for having my phone up briefly while passing him. Cop admits he knows it's a Tesla and was self driving. Like, come on bro. It's 2026. Thankfully these tickets are worthless in Florida as they can't prove interpersonal communication. The Tesla did a great job pulling over in FSD by the way, but it kind of kept driving on the shoulder slowly and didn't really want to stop. It knows we did nothing wrong 🤣

Imagine if I was suggesting vendors with much more lucrative payouts... I could 10X this. But it's never been about that. This result collectively represents over $250k in savings for you guys. Probably much higher than that, truthfully. I suggest what I believe is the best option for most people (not for everyone)... Tiny commission for me. Don't care. I make a few bucks here and there for doing what I think is right. And that adds up over time which is cool. Never expected this, actually. You get the savings not just from a much more affordable research only product, but you save even more using code RYAN8 that you can put towards additional testing! Appreciate you all.

A feature, not a bug. Many try and sign up and dump their existing bills on the crowd. That's not ethical and the crowd *should* be protected from such abuse. This is why our bills our low. Join the Crowd *prior* to your injury. It's not a free money tree that you get access to after the fact. It's just $99/mo for your first 3 months. Get on board before you injure yourself or get sick. For legitimate bills, the crowd has funded 100% - I've submitted a few myself. It works well and exactly as advertised. And the team protects us from abuse that would raise our monthly costs - and they are totally transparent about it. Big win. Sign up now: joincrowdhealth.com/?referra…
Maximum transparency. Our transparency file for August is live. All the info you need to understand how the Crowd did in August in one place. You can check that out here: joincrowdhealth.com/crowdfun…

It's impressive that Apple finally invented the foldable phone that Google has mastered since 2023... But I guess they did just finally get decent call screening on Apple, which Google had since 2018... so... Apple is finally not 8 years behind, just 3, that's cool.
