With the strong leadership of @SecWar, we’re supercharging American innovation and supply chains to bolster national security, manufacturing capacity, and good-paying jobs across our nation.

🚨 Firehawk was awarded $24M through @OASWIBP to expand domestic production of propellants and accelerate readiness for the M1128 155mm base bleed system. Propellant production remains one of the most significant bottlenecks in U.S. munitions manufacturing. Current legacy cast-and-cure processes are slow, labor-intensive, and difficult to scale at the levels required for DOW’s modern operational needs. Firehawk’s program directly addresses this challenge through a 22–month, $24 million effort designed to deliver a rapid, scalable, and cost-effective propellant manufacturing capacity.

Firehawk’s key innovation is in how rocket propellant is produced. A process that normally takes 15–60 days has been reduced to about six hours. 🚨The U.S. Army has awarded Firehawk an OTA agreement to diversify the Hydra-70 rocket supply chain and revitalize its defense industrial base. Upon successful prototype demonstration, follow-on agreements are planned to expand this effort to other variants in the Hydra-70 family of rockets which typically procures 100-200K annually. This is why Firehawk was founded. To expand manufacturing capacity of the military's most widely used munitions. Deterrence depends on production.

🚨 Today we're announcing a new multi-million-dollar contract with @AFResearchLab. Modern warfare is increasingly defined by industrial capacity. The ability to rapidly replenish munitions has become as important as the munitions themselves. Firehawk is building the manufacturing capacity to ensure the United States and its allies can produce the propulsion systems modern defense requires.

BREAKING: Today Firehawk successfully demonstrated a static fire of the Hydra-70 rocket.   With Hydra-70 seeing increased use in the APKWS counter-drone mission, Firehawk is building toward becoming a second source supplier, expanding domestic capacity to support the growing demand.

Firehawk is excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LIG Defense and Aerospace.   This strategic partnership will drive the joint development and production of advanced Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) propulsion systems for 70mm–140mm tactical weapon platforms. By combining Firehawk’s cutting-edge commercial SRM technology with LIG D&A’s world-class defense integration expertise, the collaboration will deliver high-performance, cost-effective propulsion solutions at scale.   Designed for the most demanding missions, this partnership will strengthen capabilities in precision strike and Counter-UAS (C-UAS) operations across global markets.

The Great Plains Arsenal will begin commissioning buildings on our 340 acre facility before the end of 2026, with full-scale production scheduled to begin in 2027. More updates to come!
