So many people fundamentally don’t seem to understand what City are being punishned for. Solely focusing on breaching the PL’s own financial rules massively downplays the fact that they were literally cooking the books over a number of years!
Calling City’s whole era “cheating” is lazy. Owner investment isn’t inherently wrong, and breaking financial rules doesn’t automatically make their trophies illegitimate. You can also question rules that make it harder for new clubs to challenge established ones
