Sad facts: If ever there is a restated/redefined Republican Party that wants any chance of winning under new parameters, it has to (advocate for):
(1) Understand we compete against other states and lose bigly. Your average legislator has the economic sense of an ant. Time to lead. Restate the tax system to simple. low, and broad (and try to eliminate it), and not thrust your chest out at the wimpy/jokey type-plan that the
@CTGOP and
#ryanfazio proposed.
2) Advocate for the complete torching of
@CTDECD and the state funding of NFPs, UNLESS you waive confidentiality and keep a real time dashboard on YOUR nickel, if you want any money.
And this goes with making all of your records retroactively public for view. Has any politician ever asked or pursued what the hell goes on in
@Advance_CT or the
@UconnFoundation?
3) Call for 15% reductions in every department, (the Bob Swick
@SwickSpeak plan) and a 15% pay cut for every incoming Commissioner.
4) No voting without Photo ID. Finito.
Push hard to get back to "Election Day" which was stupidly cajoled away with mail ballots in 2020 which all but one
@CTSenateGOP member agreed to as an "temporary accommodation", with no idea where all of this lead, (even after being screamed at).
I, was one of the screamers. (Right, Lenny Fasano?)
5) Strip Citizens elections (and at least 10 other things).
Its a money tree for the clowns, failures, consultants, and wannabes.
6) And scrap the bipartisanship crap. Not for today. Call them Commies and Marxists and embarrass them with their destruction.
If you can't do any of that, having Abraham Lincoln as your chair will not make a difference. If the Chair can't pursue those bright lines, this is a useless exercise.
And a party that won't due that needs to go the way of the Dodo Bird.
