He is asking for a text that shows people can come to Christ before they are made alive, not a speech about why Calvinism is wrong. Fair enough. I feel like I’ve been over this 1000 times but one more it’s not gonna hurt…
John 5:40. Jesus says to people who do not believe, “you refuse to come to me to have life.” They are refusing to come, and life is what they would have if they came. The life follows the coming. It is not what makes the coming possible.
Same order in John 20:31. “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” Believe, and by believing have life.
Ezekiel 18:32 says, “Repent and live.”
Acts 16:31 says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” The appeal is to people who are not yet alive in Christ, and the life and the salvation are what follow the response.
If they already had to be made alive before they could come, Jesus would not be charging them with refusing to come in order to have life. He would be charging them with lacking the life that alone makes coming possible. That is not what he says.
We also have plenty of resources challenging the concept of spiritual deadness as equal to “total inability“ for those that are interested.
Now, I would like to turn the challenge around. How does a person have life prior to coming to Christ if Christ is the one who gives them life?
