Since Trump was elected, US steel prices have increased from around $800/metric ton to $1285/metric ton, a massive 61% cost increase--crippling U.S. manufacturers who rely on steel and products like tractors that are made with steel. (Price increase circled in red below). But congratulations on opening a new taxpayer-subsidized steel factory in Iowa, I suppose.

The bar is **median earnings of high school graduates.** This rule is very sensibly saying college grads should be at least better off than people who never went to college at all.
It’s a crazy low bar. Fewer than 5% of programs are affected.

People always talk about this rule as the death knell for art and education when in reality, almost all bachelor’s degree programs are going to be fine.
The programs most at risk of failure are like, for-profit beauty schools.
