MLB Owners delayed their salary cap proposal to 2028 and raised the numbers. Union still rejected it in minutes. Why? Because a hard cap isn’t a negotiation point for the MLBPA. It’s the line. Always has been. 1994 proved it. Nothing in the last 32 years has changed that. Delay it, raise it, dress it up with a floor and 50-50 rhetoric. Doesn’t matter. The players aren’t trading the free market for owner cost certainty. No cap. Not in 2027. Not in 2028. Not happening.

Most fans want an MLB salary cap for two reasons: they’re jealous of what players make, and they’re mad their local owners (Pirates, Marlins, A’s) refuse to try. That’s emotion, not math. Payroll explains roughly a third of wins. The other two-thirds is development, scouting, and competent management. The Rays and Brewers just proved it again. MLB has as many different champions as the “parity” leagues that already have caps. A hard cap mostly protects owners profits and franchise values while giving cheap owners a permanent excuse. Your team isn’t losing because Ohtani exists. It’s losing because the people who own it chose not to compete. Share if you agree Emote below if you don’t

This man is supremely confident, and makes it clear that he had no idea what RCV is.
This is what ranked-choice voting is designed to do. In Alaska’s gubernatorial race, the Republican vote has split three ways, meaning that when all is said and done the lone Democrat will win—in a state that went for Trump by 13 points two years ago. The purpose of RCV is to elect Democrats. You’d think my fellow Alaska voters would have figured that out by now. Guess not.

With the owners' new proposal, it's time to run update my net increase/decrease analysis for player salaries. It assumes a 4% increase in salary year over year to match historical trends and that luxury tax penalty payments to players go away. Net -$457 million to players

Reminder that the latest MLBPA proposal included a minimum salary that was 50% higher than the one proposed by the owners
There is this misconception that I am against the players and I am for the owners in the next CBA negotiations.. I am actually FOR the 95% of players that DO NOT get represented well enough by the MLBPA. Yes, I know the owners are basically only wanting a Cap because it will help increase their profits, but it will also help the mid-tier players more and the small market fan base WAY MORE because it will create more income for those guys and a more competitive balance in the league.

It's so cute when property managers through tantrums trying to justify their usury.
APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE TO ANY TENANTS READING THIS, BUT I’M NOT STAYING QUIET. I’ve housed you for four years at $1,750 a month. You’ve never been late. You’ve never trashed it. You’ve been a solid tenant. Then I sent the renewal: rent’s going up $275. YES. You’ve paid me almost $84,000 over four years. That money covered the mortgage (which I’m still on the hook for if anything goes wrong), property taxes that keep rising, insurance premiums that have jumped hard, maintenance and repairs that cost more every year, and all the other costs of keeping the place habitable and legal. The equity and any portfolio growth come from the capital I put in, the risk I took, and the fact that I own the asset, not from the rent check itself. You’re the one writing the check every month for the right to live there. At the end of it, you own nothing because you didn’t buy it, finance it, or take on the ownership risks. I did. If the roof fails, the HVAC dies, a pipe bursts, taxes go up again, insurance spikes, or you leave and it sits vacant, that’s on me. A $275 increase isn’t “because the market lets me.” It’s because the costs of providing the housing have gone up, insurance, taxes, labor, materials, compliance. Recent data shows typical homeowners paying ~$1,380 a month just in maintenance, taxes, and insurance on top of the mortgage, with insurance up sharply over the last several years. Apartment owners have been keeping only about 11 cents of every rent dollar after debt service, operations, taxes, and the rest. Expenses have often risen faster than rents. Stop treating landlords like a free housing subscription that never has rising costs. The rent pays for the use of the property and the service of ownership. The equity belongs to the person who bought it and bears the risk. If you want a version where some of the money eventually becomes yours, buy your own home.

If you believe this I have a bridge to sell you.
We have continued to dig into the root cause here and would like to offer an update. Our engineering team discovered that the spike that triggered the incorrect enforcement was primarily in the account’s “reading” behavior. Specifically, our network security systems detected the use of a Claude tool reading profiles, posts, and hashtags, the rate of which sharply increased (~4x volume) in intense bursts on October 17. These abrupt, high-volume, sequential requests in a short period resembled automated bot traffic rather than an ordinary human browsing our systems. This activity caused our automated protections to incorrectly take the No Kings Instagram account offline. An automated re-review of the removal action an hour later recognized that shouldn’t have happened and restored the account. It unfortunately took additional time for us to straighten out the situation with admin access to the IG account. We want to reiterate our sincere apology for the error.

He disavowed them in the first 20 seconds, but some people just don't live in reality.
I don’t know what is worse. That Abdul El Sayed was asked point blank by a Michigander if he would disavow the Muslim Brotherhood and spent three minutes REFUSING TO DO SO… Or that a room full of Democrat socialists cheered as he did so.

Lorenz is just living in a fantasy world now.
The Democrats have led the charge on this type of censorship!! They’ve gone to bat repeatedly at almost every level of government to argue that content that’s vaguely political aka “harmful to children” should be censored/banned. This is the world that *YOU* want to live in.

Lol, that's all it took to earn a block.
No, it 100% is not, and that is a good thing.

How small minded do you have to be to conflate "Doctor" and "Physician"?
Katie Zacharia has a law degree from Pepperdine University. When the New York Times wrote about Jill Biden calling herself a doctor, they reported that criticism of her was "blatantly sexist and underscored the way men often dismiss women's credentials."

The gradual humiliation of the U.S. military: First, it was watching U.S. service members on their hands and knees, nailing down a red carpet for the tender feet of a Russian leader in Alaska. Then, I watched as U.S. service members were once AGAIN on their hands and knees, nailing down ANOTHER red carpet for the feet of a CHINESE leader in Washington. And NOW I see THIS picture of U.S. service members proudly lined up and waving the Chinese COMMUNIST flag, in front of the White House. Now I feel something I never felt before, when it comes to the United States military: Pity.

Went to Costco for groceries, walked past the cheese aisle, and checked Tillamook myself. Yeah… it's on the package. Done with them.

Lol, @flocksafety has no issue tracking us, but god forbid they get the same treatment.
JUST IN: Flock Safety demands the removal of a vibecoded map exposing the locations of 300,000+ surveillance devices nationwide.
