“Escalating tensions and tariffs will only cause economic pain on both sides of the border, especially in Michigan and the binational Detroit-Windsor region. Our economies are intertwined, interconnected, and stronger together -- the sooner normalcy is restored the better. The only winners in this prolonged trade war are our global competitors, such as China, who are trying to capitalize on any weakness in our North American trade bloc.”

This week the Trump administration ran a 30-second campaign spot on Fox News and Newsmax, labeled "Paid for by the U.S. Government."
This kind of propaganda using taxpayer dollars is unacceptable and very likely illegal.
An actual PSA teaches people something useful.
This shameless ad’s only purpose is to make Trump look good, just weeks before an election.
As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I believe this ad crosses a clear line, and federal employees who helped produce it may have run afoul of the Hatch Act as well.

This is the damage MAGA & Trump have done to our country and the conservative movement. We shouldn’t need a law for every bad behavior. Instead, we should only select candidates that we know will act morally, not just legally. That was my issue with Clinton. Trump is 1000x worse.
The unspoken rule of the modern Presidency: you don't trade individual stocks while in office.
Clinton followed it.
GW Bush followed it.
Obama followed it.
Biden followed it.

Watch for the people who say this doesn't matter, or who otherwise make excuses for the behavior of the administration. They are the ones you want to ostracize. They belong at the kids table. Refusal to acknowledge reality is a choice.
Court orders are not optional. The law requires all Americans to abide by court rulings, regardless of whether they disagree with the ruling.
Refusal to abide by a court ruling has a name: contempt. And contempt has clear consequences.
Judge Kelly explicitly ordered the Trump administration to “immediately return, reinstate, and restore” CNN, MS NOW, and Politico’s “hard pass” credentials to the White House. Refusing to abide by Judge Kelly's clear order would be a dangerous escalation and an affront to the rule of law.
