Democrats have no record to run on so they are misleading and in many cases flat-out lying to Americans. Tax cuts for the middle class that Republicans passed? They opposed them. Secure border? Democrats literally shut down our government for nearly three months to block funding for border patrol. Voter ID? They blocked it. Boys in girls’ sports? They’ve led the charge for this insanity for years. Now we see them trying to walk it all back and distract from their party’s full descent into anti-American Marxist beliefs. The question Americans face is which party's policies are better for me and my family, for my aging parents, for my children's future? The contrast has never been more clear — it’s extreme vs. mainstream now. It’s not about personality. It’s about policy.   Republicans kept our promise of lowering taxes, closing the border, and working to end the trans insanity and restore common sense. Democrats want to undo it and take us down a very dark road to communism — which means MORE government, HIGHER taxes, OPEN borders, and LESS freedom for you.

It was a privilege to host the Stevens family, Veteran Service Officer Trish Appeldorn, and Brian Gislason from the Willmar VFW as we presented eight military honors recognizing WWII veteran Dwight Stevens. Dwight served with the 10th Armored Division, fighting in major engagements including the Battle of Metz and the Battle of the Bulge, helping capture Trier, and participating in the liberation of the Landsberg Dachau subcamp complex. Because his original military records were destroyed in the 1973 National Archives fire, this long-overdue recognition was made possible through secondary historical records and family accounts. The freedoms we enjoy every day exist because brave Americans like Dwight stepped up. We can never fully repay our veterans, but we can ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten. Thank you to the Stevens family for keeping his legacy alive and continuing a strong tradition of public and military service.

Thank you to Mayor James Kreemer, the Long Prairie City Council, Todd County Commissioners, and local leaders for hosting me at the historic Christie Home Museum! We focused on challenges facing Todd County, including changes to SNAP administration, unfunded mandates affecting local schools, mental health pressures on law enforcement, and the need for expanded housing options. Shout-out to Todd County for setting a national standard with its impressive zero percent SNAP error rate, and thank you to Peter Klick for a tour of the museum!

Great food and even better company! I stopped by the Clubhouse Restaurant in Park Rapids for a fantastic lunch last week. It's always a highlight getting to visit with folks in Park Rapids!

Prior to the tragic shooting in downtown Minneapolis on September 2, Carlton Johnson II was a known threat to the community and had been the subject of 34 criminal cases in Minnesota. The lack of legal action taken by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office is deeply concerning. I sent a letter to @TheJusticeDept alongside @RepPeteStauber and @RepFischbach calling for a review of the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and Hennepin County Attorney Moriarty’s actions regarding Johnson and his violent past leading up to the shooting. Minnesotans living, working, or visiting the largest county in our state deserve to have confidence that our officials are doing everything in their power to keep them safe.
