UPDATE | DAC Approves Defence Acquisition Proposals Worth ₹2.12 Lakh Crore
The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for capital acquisition proposals worth approximately ₹2.12 lakh crore for the Indian Armed Forces.
Around 82% of the proposed procurements will be sourced from Indian industry, reinforcing the government’s push for indigenous defence manufacturing and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

- High Mobility Vehicles (HMVs): Improve operational mobility and logistical support in challenging terrain.
- Self-Propelled Tracked Gun Systems: Deliver enhanced mobility and firepower to mechanised formations.

CISF Personnel Undergo Specialised Training with the Indian Army
A specialised Army Training for CISF QRT personnel from various ASGs was successfully conducted at Delhi, from 12 October to 25 October 2026.
The training focused on physical fitness, tactical response, urban warfare, counter-terrorism, CBRN threats, weapon handling and firing practices.
The initiative reinforces inter-force cooperation and enhances the operational preparedness and response capabilities of CISF personnel deployed at airports.
