Rosie is struggling in kennels - she’s started to put the brakes on and refuse to come back into her kennel which is just heartbreaking, but who can blame her - she shouldn’t be homeless at her age and be having to go into a kennel. She is safe with us, but desperately unhappy and we won’t sit back and let her struggle. We URGENTLY need a foster home for Rosie ideally with a view to adoption (but not essential). Rosie needs a quieter home where she will get plenty of company, older children upwards, no cats, possibly a very calm smaller older dog as she just ignores dogs . The only time we’ve heard her bark is at a horse - she likes to tell them that she might only be small but she is a terrier after all . Yesterday was heart breaking. MLHR Alex was at the vet with one of our dogs & met this beauty. He was scheduled to be put to sleep as he had been worrying sheep. His owner had booked him in, so our vet asked was there any way we could help. Jules (formerly Junior) was such a sweet boy. We’re so jammed, but we had to do something to save this boy. He looked into Alex’s eyes & melted her heart. 24 hours later & Jules has left the shed & is now sitting by a Christmas tree with his amazing foster mum Mary who helped us save him. The power of social media helped us save this beautiful boy - thank you! Jules is neutered & good with female dogs. He has also been around children. If you have paperwork such as KC to state your dog is a purebred Staffordshire bull terrier for example then you are OK. If you don’t and your dog meets the height specification then you have to get them EXEMPTED and start the process now as it only takes one horrible or clueless person to report you. You couldn't bare for your dogs to be seized and taken and I know they probably wouldn't cope either so better to be SAFE THAN SORRY!! Still waiting for your exemption certificate? Don't worry until about mid Jan as they have a massive backlog.
