It should piss people off. When you retire and are on Medicare you then have to get a Medicare supplement and pay a monthly premium for, while illegals get Healthcare and other hand outs for free.

I believe there is fraud going on with in Medicare they are hiking up rates because of unessecary proceedures being done and also of setting the cost to support illegals and people that should not be using the system.

I'm pissed because I served 24 years in the military and they still make us pay for Medicare and supplements, and they paid illegals to come here and give them free Healthcare. 馃槕 It makes no sense.

I am glad that Indiana pulled the plug on illegal immigrant emergency room visits. As of today illegals will not be treated at an emergency room for anything other than an actual emergency. Not perfect but it鈥檚 a start. End all incentives for them to even be here.

What makes me upset is how the younger generation thinks this is a welfare. I read it time and again about how the boomers are sucking off of the government. Many young people think it is an entitlement. We paid for it our entire working life and then we pay for it when we retire. The price goes up almost annually and were forced to pay for it due to our aging position in life. While a person can come over here with the whole family in tow family of five and get immediate free health care, dental, vision. Most seniors are working any job they can find to pay for this health care and believe me that's not an easy task in the employment industry these days as they are also taking our jobs through work visa's. We're screwed every way we turn. If they are not coming over illegally they are coming on work visa's. Don't get me started on SNAP as we don't qualify for that either. They work under the table so no income and voila they qualify for food assistance too.

Yes - the cost deducted from SS checks will be $209+ in 2027. Every little COLA increase is decimated each year by the rising cost of Medicare.

You pay for it even without the supplement. I have a supplement that is free. Medicare is $200 bucks a month.

Not to mention you have to pay for Medicare B, and it has a deductible too. And then you have pay for Medigap to supplement costs that medicare doesn鈥檛 pay, and then you have to pay for a prescription plan, and then you have to pay for dental and vision plans. It鈥檚 going to cost me about about $1000-$1200 a month just for me and my husband when I retire in a few months. So don鈥檛 let anyone tell you Medicare is free for seniors. It鈥檚 not even cheap.

And if you make over a certain limit you have to pay a penalty on your Medicare. The same thing you paid into for 30 plus years expecting the same at everyone else. Dont tell me higher producers do not pay their fair share. I call it the savers conundrum. Sacrifice too much at earlier ages you pay later. Should have spent it.

Well you do if you're not too bright. You get a Medicare Advantage plan which generally has no extra premium or a small one. That doesn't mean illegals should be getting any government benefits though.
