With the video evidence and the OPP officers catching the culprits with the stolen firewood... this looks like Neglect of Duty and two-tier law enforcement to me and to many other Canadians.
This case deserves your personal attention. Were the officers lazy, incompetent? Did they not arrest the culprits because they were members of their own tribe, religion, or culture?
Why would your officers not do their duty?
Perhaps there are circumstances unknown to us - but we see the video of the theft, and what the victim posted.
Is it now the policy of the @OPP_News that officers no longer investigate, arrest and charge for stealing from farmers' roadside stands?
Update on the firewood theft:
The poster’s husband received a camera notification that was sent to his phone and he called the OPP. Soon after the OPP located them and pulled the thieves over. The police made them return the stolen firewood. The OPP said they couldn’t prove the first theft and were not going to charge them for the second.
These people act like this because we let them get away without consequences. Another example of our two-tier justice system.
