Alla Nowowiejski, a Houston area immigration attorney, has been charged with mail fraud and false statements. According to the indictment, Nowowiejski accepted payments from clients for work visa applications that she never filed or only filed in part. CASE UPDATE from @FBILouisville: Man Sentenced to 160 Months for Distributing Child Pornography Jacob Murphy, 27, was sentenced to 160 months for distributing a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. In January 2025, law enforcement received a cyber tip from the messaging platform, Kik, regarding an account, which was later identified as Murphy’s account, that was sharing child sexual abuse material. Murphy admitted that he knowingly distributed the sexually explicit media. This case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
