Here’s the thing:
I’m not mad at Texas Tech for playing the game. The game is the game and Texas fans getting mad about it lack self-awareness.
Cody Campbell putting those awkward Save College Football commercials on my TV while playing the game is kinda lame though.
NEW: Rivals’ @SWiltfong_ and @samspiegs have logged expert predictions for Texas Tech to land 2027 5-star DL Jalen Brewster🌵

That is the funniest part about it. He’s dropping huge sums of money on men’s sports while simultaneously crying about saving women’s sports.

Newsflash: Dumping ridiculous sums of money into one school’s athletic programs, men or women, isn’t saving college sports. It damn sure isn’t saving them for the ladies.
I’m not even mad about it. That’s the game now. Just stop acting like it is altruistic.

Both.
Listen to what Cody is saying. And right now he will play by the rules. Don’t like them. Then change them

I have no problem with Cody Campbell working within the current rules.
That’s the fallacy in all of y’all’s arguments.
The issue, for me, is him acting like he is any different than anyone else that is working within the current rules.

He legitimately wants to change it. Anyone who knows him and his character. You think he’s writing all these articles, going on podcasts, and joining a White House commission as a smoke screen? That’s the weirdest most time consuming con of them all. It’s not like he said it once

Great. He wants to change it. I wish it was different too because I don’t think it is sustainable what is happening now.
But, he’s accusing conference leaders of bullying other conference leaders and pretending he’s above all of that.
Pretty wild for a guy that paid 2.4MM for a softball pitcher.

Do you really have a podcast?
I suggest you look into what CC is trying to do with the “Save College Sports” thing.
BTW, he didn’t pay for the softball pitcher. Thats entirely a different donor.

Here is a very short video describing the ultimate problem.
To Save College Sports, we must solve a business problem: Fix a system that is fully professionalized on the cost side but only semi-professionalized on the revenue side.
This problem CAN be solved. The solutions are common business sense and proven by decades of solid, clear data.
I talked about these problems and the solutions at a @cnbc event last week.
