Hey do you have 2x speed for fast mode or 1.5 like me? In a few of the demos they mentioned fast mode was 2x the speed of regular

If this is because of European laws, I wish OpenAI would point out exactly the issue, or the problem will never be addressed

This impacts my plan, but this is fairer. Paying 10x as much should get you 10x the usage, not 20x. Giving wealthier users an extra advantage was only widening the gap. This change is closer to "benefiting all". Good change

My bet
Real question: with the current state of AI is there anything exciting they can announce other than a new model?

You can't train this in a simulation like they are doing with self driving to speed things up?

Well some people aren't familiar with the term and your intro material never explained it. So unless they know it they may not Google "system one thinking" and instead would end up more confused

To hit 60 frames per second in a game, everything needed for a frame has to fit inside 16.6ms Astra built me a spatial profiler. Now I can play 5 seconds, freeze, then hunt down things eating precious cpu, but adding nothing to the game Simple tool building is 👨‍🍳💋

This is amazing progress. BUT All of these test rooms were pretty minimalist. Find a hoarder or somebody with kids toys all over the floor and clean their house.
The holy grail for robotics is being able to generalize: doing work in unseen places We rented 30 homes in the Bay Area and are doing tasks without any new training

So if I understand the code right it is for 20 USD Cursor credits which you can then in theory be used to start a Cursor Pro subscription, which will include Grok Bot access. However because it still thinks the cost is 20 USD it still tries to charge VAT. 😅 Thank you though

Ok so there is a big difference between Astra Medium and Astra Max. Was testing out some new grass so went to the edge of the map, I turn around and I see this!??? I never prompted this
Everybody is talking about Astra's incredible 3D modeling skills, but I asked it to add electric scooters to my game and this is what I got

Pretty sure Astra in Codex on day 1-3 didn't say "I'm tracking it down" and then stop every time
Hi Astra users. A reset and a quick update on quality issues that have been posted around. Working with some of you, we have found and fixed the following issues: - Some skills written for previous models were triggering too often or preventing the model from checking its work. - An opt-in context management experiment that could cause early stops or replies to older messages. We've disabled it. Our rough estimate is that 4-5k users were affected by this experiment. - We've also removed some badly configured engines that resulted in a measured quality degradation for a long tail of traffic flowing through them. We’ve also made some more minor improvements and things should feel significantly better across the board. More consistent follow-through, better tracking of your latest message, and better checks on the work as it’s going through the motions. The examples posted and all the users who worked directly with us were incredibly useful in helping fix things quickly. Always grateful for this incredible community. And of course, a reset is also landing by midnight today.

Just let everybody download the app on Android because Googles region locks are beyond broken. They stop me from downloading local weather apps and even Google support doesn't know what is wrong. There are many threads with thousands of likes complaining about the same thing.

Heh. I would test all the variants to find the sweet spots - speed to task completion - quality - refusals etc BTW. I like that Astra seems to have more ability to read between the lines. Just now:

I was pretty sure I was at >80% before the reset issue then suddenly 0. Now it is back but at 56% (maybe the issue caused a cache invalidation on my long threads?) Then Astra in those longer threads seemed stupid?
27
Usage mostly came back but now Astra seems stupid, responding like "oh yeah I see how I was wrong" and then does nothing. Just had similar in two threads in a row
