Did we ever get to the bottom of the allegations made against him or did we just forget about it? I’m just wondering.

It's all so performative and fake. They live in Plato's cave. They long for the real thing, and it's available to them, but their protest prevents them from seeing it or having it.

A lot of pastors are using the pulpit as a THEATER, turning the house of God into a game and a performance. Everybody wants to show off, bring out different gimmicks, put on a whole production, and entertain people instead of simply preaching the Word of God. And I’m here to tell you that you do NOT need 50,000 gimmicks to preach the Gospel! If you need all these different theatrics, performances, and productions to get people to listen to you, then maybe you need to examine whether you are truly called to preach in the first place. THE WORD OF GOD SHOULD BE ENOUGH! You should not have to put on a whole theater play to get the message of Jesus Christ across. The Gospel is powerful all by itself. The Bible says in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” The power is in the Word, not in your props, your gimmicks, your theatrics, or your ability to put on a show. The pulpit is not a stage for your personal entertainment, and the congregation is not your audience to impress. We need to get back to preaching the unadulterated Word of God and stop confusing entertainment with the anointing. YOU DON’T NEED A SHOW WHEN YOU HAVE THE WORD OF GOD!

Nothing done here is sinful. You're just needing content apparently. Demonstrating what the ark looked like, and incense, and clearly the sand backdrop and music, this was recreating the old testament times. Breaking, it's not sin unless they all start worshiping it bro.

Not sure what’s wrong with understanding that the ark was a symbol of Christ . I’m I missing something. It’s a bit extra but it is good for us to understand

Almost there brother @BishopJakes 👀🇻🇦 now read the Church Fathers on how the Blessed Virgin Mary is what the pure Ark represents, and the contents *of* the Ark represent Jesus. Just how the Holy Spirit came down and overshadowed the Old Ark of the covenant, the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, the New Ark and the Word was made flesh in her womb. She is the handmaiden of the Lord.

I feel his "unveiling" should have been a little more climactic for a false teacher. If your going to heresy, go full-heresy.

I’m guessing about 90 percent of the people in that audience went out afterwards and bought some incense for their home.

As a protestant, one of the things that I really envy about Catholic Church goers is the use of incense. One of the five senses that is very, very powerful for feeling and remembrance is scent.

#WWJS @BishopJakes “In those days, when your numbers have increased greatly in the land,” declares the LORD, “people will no longer say, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ It will never enter their minds or be remembered; it will not be missed, 👉nor will another one be made.” Jeremiah 3:16 NIV “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.” Revelation 21:3 .NIV “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 .NIV

T.D. JAKES UNVEILS ARK OF THE COVENANT REPLICA — HARMLESS ILLUSTRATION OR GOING TOO FAR? Bishop T.D. Jakes has sparked controversy after unveiling a life-size replica of the Ark of the Covenant during a sermon at The Potter’s House, accompanied by the use of censers producing smoke reminiscent of the burning of incense in ancient Jewish worship. But why might this be controversial? In the Old Testament, the Ark of the Covenant was among the most sacred objects in Israelite worship. It symbolised God’s presence among His people and was eventually kept in the Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies) within the Temple in Jerusalem. Its holiness was taken extremely seriously. In 2 Samuel 6:6–7, Uzzah was struck dead after touching the Ark, despite apparently attempting to prevent it from falling. Access to the Most Holy Place was also strictly restricted, with the High Priest entering only once a year on the Day of Atonement, accompanied by the prescribed rituals involving incense and sacrificial blood (Leviticus 16). This raises some interesting theological questions. On one hand, the replica displayed by Jakes is simply that — a replica. It is not the original Ark, has no inherent sacred status, and could be regarded as an effective visual aid for teaching Christians about the Old Testament and how its symbolism points towards Jesus Christ. On the other hand, some Christians may feel uncomfortable with recreating such sacred imagery, particularly when accompanied by censers and smoke resembling ancient Temple rituals. Does this risk turning something profoundly holy into a spectacle? Could it blur the distinction between explaining biblical worship and attempting to recreate its sacred practices? Of course, the New Testament teaches that through Jesus Christ, believers have access to God in a way that was not possible under the Old Covenant (Hebrews 10:19–22). So here’s the question: Was this a creative and perfectly harmless sermon illustration that helps bring biblical history to life? Or does recreating the Ark of the Covenant alongside elements of ancient Temple worship cross a line by treating sacred things too casually? What do you think? #TDJakes #ArkOfTheCovenant #Christianity #Bible

Why do protestants live as though we were still in the Old Testament, when Christ has already come, revealed Himself, and risen from the dead? We are under the New Covenant! Christ is the immaculate Lamb, and the perfect sacrifice has been offered through His Blood. The rites and ceremonies of the Old Testament have been fulfilled and superseded by the New Covenant. Whoever insists on clinging to them as though Christ had not come denies the fulfillment of His mission and, in effect, acts as an enemy of Christ.
