I believe there are similar unprovable dogmas at the heart of Critical Social Justice. For example, the unprovable dogma at the heart of Critical Race Theory is "racism is ordinary, permanent and systemic." IMO Christians generally have the humility to admit that their dogmas are dogmas. IMO the Critical Social Justice folks don't have that humility. They present their dogmas as settled "truths." They frame their arguments as "lenses" and don't even have the humility to admit their "lenses" are very fancy opinions dressed up in very fancy language. This is an example of a jargon-heavy CSJ statement on "whiteness": "Whiteness operates as an invisible hegemonic norm conferring unearned privilege, producing white fragility that demands perpetual self-reflexivity." None of this has ever been proved or falsified. It's a belief. It's an opinion. It's secular preaching. It's activism. IMO they've gotten away with it for so long because they're masters at language. To many liberals these opinionated conclusions have a veneer of self-evidence. To many in liberal academia it sounds like compassion and justice, so "it must be right." Many critics like Chris Rufo, John McWhorter, James Lindsay, and Douglas Murray have argued that CSJ functions like a secular religion — mainly because of all those unproven dogmas at the heart of the critical theories. CSJ is something that must be believed, exactly like a faith. Which brings me back to my opening: CRT says "racism is ordinary, permanent and systemic" — which is incredibly debatable. Christianity says "Jesus was born of a virgin" — which has been incredibly debated. In a secular, philosophical sense, they are both dogmas. Religion admits it. Critical Social Justice doesn't. Critical Social Justice is a neo-religious Trojan horse. It's embedded in the Social Sciences and Humanities and has tentacles throughout academia. It started at places like Harvard. It came from America. America let the Trojan horse through the gates — and America needs to toss these Social Justice "warriors" out.
