A Russian drone hit the gas station ten minutes after With Honor's cross-partisan delegation pulled out of it. A second hit a passenger train nearby, narrowly missing departing officials, including former CIA director David Petraeus. General David Petraeus was at that station on a separate train. Last week, the Chairman of Ukraine's Parliament awarded the Ukrainian Badge of Honour "for our freedom and yours" to eight U.S. Members of Congress — three Republican senators, @SenArmstrong, @SenJohnCurtis, @SenThomTillis, and a bipartisan group of five representatives, @RepWesleyBellMO, @RepJimCosta, @RepVindman, including members of the @BipartisanVets: @RepDonBacon and @RepCarbajal. The delegation traveled to Kyiv with With Honor for the @yes_ukraine Annual Meeting, as Russian strikes intensified against civilian infrastructure. They walked past gas stations and grocery stores hit days earlier. Part of the group went on to Kharkiv to meet frontline medics. As they departed, a Russian drone struck a rail line minutes behind the train carrying officials out, two kilometers from the Polish border.​ On the ground in Ukraine, they saw firsthand why the $400M in appropriated security assistance for this year can't sit on the sidelines. Twenty-five years ago today, the nation changed in a single morning. In the years that followed, thousands answered the call to serve, including more than 10 current members of the For Country Caucus who joined the military in the wake of 9/11. As part of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum's Tribute in Light, the @JFKLibraryFdn was illuminated in blue, joining a commemoration that both honors those killed and celebrates the unbreakable spirit of New York. With Honor supports principled veterans who raise their hands a second time to serve their country in elected office, especially a new generation of leaders who answered the call to serve after that tragic day.

A bipartisan biotechnology commission built a roadmap for American competitiveness. It sunsets at the end of this year, and Congress has a choice: build on that work, or let the momentum die with it.
