Texas has no state income tax, and that’s one of many reasons people keep moving here. When Texans cross state lines for temporary work, they shouldn’t pay those states’ income taxes. This is why I introduced the Mobile Workforce State Income Tax Simplification Act. Lower taxes means more money in your pocket.

Tonight, my colleagues and I honored the life of former Congresswoman Kay Granger. She was a legend among her colleagues, in Fort Worth, Texas, and across America. When Kay was told she couldn’t do something, she did it anyway. An extraordinary woman who will be deeply missed.

The contrast is clear. @POTUS and @HouseGOP have secured our borders, passed the largest tax cut in U.S. history, and unleashed U.S. energy production. The radical left is electing communists that hate America, want to reopen our borders, and raise your taxes.

Texas has lost a legend and I am deeply saddened by this news.   Kay Granger transformed the city she loved. Across her many decades of service to the Fort Worth community and all of CD TX-12, she worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those she represented.  She was the first woman to lead Fort Worth as Mayor, the first Republican woman to represent Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the first Republican woman to chair the U.S. House Appropriations Committee. Kay will be greatly missed, but her incredible legacy will not be forgotten. I extend my sincere condolences to her family. May her memory be a blessing.
