Today, I welcomed the @FinancialCmte Subcommittee on Financial Institutions to the Bluegrass for a field hearing on the Main Street Capital Access Act. This bill would expand access to capital that fuels the American dream for families, farmers, and small businesses. Thank you to @eku for hosting and @RepTroyDowning and @Rep_Davidson for attending.

The federal government wastes over $500 BILLION a year due to fraud. I voted to establish a dedicated @TheJusticeDept division to root out fraud and strengthen federal, state, and local partnerships to protect YOUR tax dollars.

Whether it be expansion at @Toyota and @Corning or the @Ford battery plant announcement last week, Kentucky manufacturing is on the move after the Working Families Tax Cut created the Made in America Tax Credit and 100% expensing for new facilities.

Today, I sent @GovAndyBeshear a letter demanding answers about his repeated claim that “35 rural hospitals in Kentucky will close” because of the Working Families Tax Cut. The UNC Sheps Center analysis they used to create that number never said 35 Kentucky hospitals would close and was completed nearly a month before the final law was enacted, before accounting for the hundreds of millions of dollars Kentucky is set to receive over the next five years from the Working Families Tax Cut. Now the Commonwealth has been provided $212.9 million in first-year funding, yet @GovAndyBeshear’s plan does not clearly identify or prioritize a single one of those 35 hospitals. If these hospitals are truly headed toward closure, use the money Congressional Republicans provided to help them. If they aren’t, stop telling Kentuckians they are.

Kentucky is growing, and our transportation infrastructure has to keep up. It was good to sit down with @SecDuffy and some of Kentucky’s top transportation executives at @BGAirport to discuss the infrastructure needs at LEX and the opportunities ahead as Kentucky continues to grow.

Today, I joined @SecDuffy at @BGAirport to highlight the need to modernize Kentucky’s aging air traffic control tower and celebrate $17 million in additional upgrades from the Working Families Tax Cuts to modernize LEX’s air traffic control system. Blue Grass Airport is the heart of Kentucky. These upgrades will help millions more to visit the beautiful Bluegrass.

We pushed the Camp Lejeune Justice Act into law, giving vets the right to seek justice. But justice delayed is justice denied. Only 1% of claims have been processed. 4,400 Kentucky vets are still waiting on claims tied to toxic exposure at Camp Lejeune. Now, I’m leading the charge with @RepGregMurphy to accelerate the processing of claims and cut through the backlog.

Today, I led the KY Congressional Delegation requesting that President Trump quickly approve of Kentucky’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration. The CFPB is COSTING consumers. @CEA47 report from February showed CFPB cost consumers between $237-$369B from 2011-2024. They wage war on auto industry, energy companies, and financial lenders that provide financing to Americans who need it most. I will never back down from reforming this broken agency. @FinancialCmte, @russvought.

I won't let government be weaponized to abuse our Constitutional rights. The Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act that I helped lead through the House prevents the data collection of firearms purchases. This doesn't prevent police from investigating criminal activity but will protect lawful gun owners from being surveilled by their government.

Americans need a Federal Reserve focused on fighting inflation and maintaining price stability—not pushing climate activist policies. Today, Chairman Warsh committed to keeping the Fed in its lane, ending NGFS and climate supervision that threaten Kentucky’s energy industry and raise costs for consumers.
