"This ruling from the US Supreme Court is a win for election integrity and legal voters in Washington," says @WAGOP Chairman Rep. @JimWalshLD19. "It's a major loss for @GovBobFerguson and @AGOWA Nick Brown. "They really need to learn to stop putting out press releases before the final court ruling has been issued."
"Most importantly," adds Chairman Walsh: "This ruling should not be a surprise. Federal election law is clear: Non-citizens can't vote. And the government needs to make sure they don't."
He further states: "Washington has been subjected to lawlessness from the petite bourgeois Left for so long, the rule of law seems strange. It shouldn't. We are a nation 'of laws, and not of men.'"

The Washington Supreme Court just struck Initiative 2066 for violating the single-subject rule.
Article II, section 19: one subject. One vote. No bundling unrelated policies into a take-it-or-leave-it package.
That rule binds the Legislature as well as the people.
Look at ESSB 6346. One bill. A new 9.9% income tax. B&O relief. Sales-tax changes. Working Families Tax Credit expansion. A Fair Start for Kids transfer. Dozens of other moving parts.
If a citizen initiative that protected natural gas access can be thrown out for packing too many subjects into one measure, the same constitutional text has to mean something when Olympia does the packing.
Either the single-subject rule is a real constraint on how Washington makes law, or it is a one-way street that only runs against voters.
It cannot be both.

When I went out knocking on daycare doors with @choeshow, @camhigby, and @CarleenJohn1970 back in December 2025, local news reporters from KOMO were doing the same exact thing.
If SEIU gets their way, it will be a direct attack on ALL journalists, independent and mainstream. Anyone who claims to defend freedom of the press should strongly oppose this.
