In 2019 I said $NVDA would become the world's most valuable company. In 2021, that it would surpass $AAPL. In July 2024, I said AMD's $AMD returns would outpace Nvidia's over five years. So far, so good. This week, I cover why the next chapter could be AMD’s biggest. Link in bio.

Bitcoin's supply is capped at 21 million coins, and after the halving, new issuance adds under 1% a year, whatever the price does. The Fed hiked to 3.75-4.00% on Sep 16, and Bitcoin still holds $84,970. It's a $1.7Tn asset that tends to lead the liquidity cycle by about 13 weeks, so it usually bottoms before a pivot is obvious. I'm a bigger buyer near $78,000 on any flush. The catch: rate cuts are still the pillar that has to turn, and Bitcoin stays extremely volatile if the Fed keeps hiking. If long yields roll over before the Fed pivots, does Bitcoin move ahead of the cut or wait for it?

I think Tom Lee is right! We have oil that is $100 per barrel, we have midterm elections and we have tariffs. All those inflationary short term contributors will likely fall in the new year. Inflation on the economy should get better from here on out in a stock market I think will appreciate because of the uncertainty that it takes off the market in the short term. Will we have a war in Iran over the next 6 to 9 months? In my opinion, I don’t think Iran can hold out that long. In the meantime, the US will have created diversified logistics around oil trade and increase their economics along the way.

We hired a new VP named Michael Lee. Unfortunately we already have a Michael Lee. He works in the warehouse. He's been here 11 years. New VP gets: michael.lee2@company.com He immediately messages IT. “Can you move the other Michael to michael.lee2 and give me michael.lee?” No. He asks HR. HR asks me if we can “prioritize seniority.” I explain that the warehouse Michael has eleven years of email history tied to that address and changing it because someone with a nicer title arrived would be insane. VP reluctantly keeps the 2. Warehouse Michael finds out. Changes his Teams display name to: Michael Lee (Original) By Friday the VP is being referred to as Sequel Mike. He has asked IT to intervene. Unfortunately nickname management is outside our support scope.

I'd be a very happy billionaire if I could pick up #HWG for less than £0.6bn. To see the potential upside if the UK ever gets its act together, look at $EQIX and $DLR in the US who trade at super high multiples providing land and infrastructure to the hyperscalers.
#HWG Harworth Group, can no one make a counter offer? There's more than one billionaire interested. The company is uniquely positioned but like all companies in the UK could probably do with a better Government that prioritises growth above taxes. @andyburnham

Right, with #HWG best and final offer at 187p what's the Roditi family going to do? They've been sitting on this investment for a long time and are clearly not supporting the offer to date.
Replying to @BezosRic
Nick Roditi is a super large holder in both #OCDO and #HWG so he'd need to be on board with this and could be the one to push it. Both investments are down a lot. If this was successful Ocado could become the British robo tech / AI infrastructure champion to rival those in the US

$SMCI has been grinding up on the weeklies. That's ok, better to do that and gather more supporters than a sudden spike to $100. I get the sense that there are many closet supporters that will reveal themselves at higher levels, similar to $AMD and $MU.
Will likely be a interesting October for $COIN, the current pullback from the spike to $200+ has been very shallow compared to the others over the past month suggesting that buyers are gathering and sellers are leaving.

The whole “20x” in Claude’s pricing is so misleading. The $100 plan says 5x Pro limits, while the $200 plan says 20x Pro limits. That makes it sound like you’re getting 4x the usage. But the 20x applies only to the 5-hour usage window. The weekly limit is basically just 2x the $100 plan. I spent way too much time digging through the internet and Reddit to figure this out. They could’ve just stated the limits directly instead of marketing it as “20x.” That alone would’ve saved me hours of confusion.

A SITTING PRESIDENT PERSONALLY POCKETED 16 MILLION DOLLARS FROM A COMPANY THAT NEEDED HIS GOVERNMENT'S PERMISSION Paramount. July 2025. The guy who called it what it was. A bribe. Live on air. Then gone Meanwhile watch what happens when Trump actually loses. Appeal it anyway Because losing was never the point. The lawsuit is the punishment. Newsrooms bleed legal fees whether Trump wins or not BBC still being sued. New York Times still being sued. Wall Street Journal still being sued. Three more targets, three more companies forced to calculate what silence is worth This is a president running a toll booth on the First Amendment. Trump gets sued and somehow walks away 16 million dollars richer That is not a coincidence. That is the business model And it is only going to get more expensive for everyone who isn't named Trump

Just now realized this, worth sharing. When Bessent buys heavily-discounted Covid-era long bonds instead of newer issues w/ higher coupons, he increases the margin to the debt ceiling. That's because, by the statute, the amount that must be held under the ceiling is the face amount. When he buys back a bond trading at 50 cents, he eliminates the full $1.00, and only has to issue 50 cents of new debt to do that.

Only a handful of shops make metal foil sensors precise enough for a robot wrist, and $VPG is one of them. The worry is profitability: a 1% operating margin, a Q2 loss, and an ERP glitch that stranded ~$3M of KELK shipments. Sensors still booked record orders from chip-tool and AI-infrastructure buyers, and long qualification cycles keep those buyers from switching suppliers. Q2 revenue rose 11.7% to $83.9M, with net cash and a 39% gross margin. I see the trough as an ERP fix, and I add more around $50. If I'm wrong, margins stay stuck and 38x forward earnings deflate. Is KELK a one-quarter glitch, or does the ERP mess run deeper?

Just YESTERDAY I alerted my re-entry into $AKAM (after publishing my original thesis back on August 12th) citing that the relevance of their technology & infrastructure suite was increasing. Then, today, we get this Anthropic headline. Screenshot below. Talk about timing...
*AKAMI $AKAM SIGNS 7-YEAR, $11.6 BILLION DOLLAR DEAL WITH ANTHROPIC, UP TO $20 BILLION POTENTIAL Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM) announced a seven-year, $11.6 billion contractual commitment with Anthropic to support the AI company's CPU workload demands using Akamai Cloud's distributed infrastructure and software, according to a press release dated Sept. 24, 2026. The agreement includes provisions for expansion of up to an additional $9 billion, bringing the total potential commitment to approximately $20 billion within the seven-year term. As part of the deal, Akamai issued a warrant to Anthropic for the purchase of non-voting convertible Series B Preferred Stock representing 7.7 million shares of Akamai common stock on an as-converted basis, or up to approximately 5% of Akamai's common stock outstanding, at an exercise price of $111.33 per share. Approximately 2% of Akamai's common stock outstanding is expected to vest in connection with the initial $11.6 billion commitment. The remaining approximately 3% would vest as the commitment expands, with each additional $3 billion in cloud services purchases triggering the vesting of approximately 1% of common stock outstanding. Total capital expenditures tied to the $11.6 billion commitment are estimated at approximately $5.5 billion. Akamai said it anticipates no impact to its 2026 revenue guidance but expects an increase of approximately $1.7 billion in capital expenditures in 2026 to secure and pre-purchase supply chain components, including memory. The announcement adds to more than $2.8 billion in previously announced multi-year Cloud Infrastructure Services commitments across Akamai's customer base in 2026. "Anthropic is advancing the AI revolution and we are thrilled they chose Akamai's capabilities for building and operating AI infrastructure at scale," said Dr. Tom Leighton, co-founder and CEO of Akamai.
