FINE, CALL THE POLLS FAKE: Throw out every one of them. The ballots stay exactly where they are. And they’re telling us something valuable. Ignoring it is a choice.
Why? August 4 was counted ballots. 1,493,709 Democrats voted in their governor's primary. 928,983 Republicans voted in ours. 564,726 missing Republicans.
Nobody weighted that. Nobody modeled it. Nobody adjusted a screen. Those are votes, counted by the same clerks who will count them again in November.
Then Fox News went into the field two days later and found the same thing. Rogers up 4, which is good news and I said so. And Democrats up 15 on interest, 11 on motivation, 7 on being certain they'll vote. Fox's own Republican pollster said the energy is on the left.
The ballots came first. The poll just agreed with them.
You can argue about methodology all fall. You can call all polls fake. But you can't argue with 564,726.
The fix was never the poll. It's giving people something to vote FOR, and knocking doors before ballots go out in 33 days.
Let's make Michigan safe, normal, and responsible again! 🇺🇸
